Youth ADHD Diagnosis & Treatment Now Available!
For existing patients

Adding Therapy to Your Finding Focus Care

You already have a care team. It now includes a therapist who can read your assessment and medication record before your first session, so you do not have to tell your story again.

Available to patients 18 and over who are in Ontario at the time of the session. Youth patients aged 12 to 17 are not eligible for therapy sessions. If you need help now, call or text 9-8-8, or call 911.

Person feeling relieved and focused after receiving an ADHD diagnosis and starting a treatment plan

If you were assessed by Finding Focus, or you are in ongoing care, therapy is a new option inside the portal you already use. Sign in, open Therapy & ADHD coaching in the menu, choose CBT or coaching, pick a time and pay for the session. Your therapist has access to your existing records, including the assessment report, screening measures and medication information, and will have read them before you meet.

Nothing about your clinical care changes. The clinician who prescribes for you continues to manage medication through your usual check-ins, whether you use the ongoing care membership or book check-ins individually. Your therapist does not adjust medication or give medication advice; if a session raises a question about a dose, timing or a side effect, you bring it to your prescribing clinician at your next check-in, or sooner if it matters. With your consent, your therapist can flag it on your chart so it is not forgotten.

The one decision to make at intake is where the therapy notes go. Placed on your general chart, they are visible to the other Finding Focus clinicians involved in your care, which can help your prescriber understand what you are working on. Kept in the therapy record only, they stay with your therapist. You can ask about changing that choice later. Therapy is paid per session, from $149, separately from any membership, and it is not included in the ongoing care membership fee.

Already in the portal

No new account, no new intake for the clinical side. Therapy sits under Therapy & ADHD coaching in the menu you already use for check-ins and records.

Hand on tablet

Your prescriber stays your prescriber

Medication management continues exactly as before through your check-ins. Therapy adds a second kind of support; it does not change who decides about medication.

Medical caduceus

Your history is already known

Your therapist reads the assessment report and medication information before session one. The first conversation starts from what is getting in the way now, not from the beginning.

How it works

1

Use your existing Finding Focus portal login. Therapy & ADHD coaching is in the menu.

2

Choose a track and a therapist

CBT for mood, worry and the thinking side; coaching for routines and follow-through. You can switch later without changing therapist.

3

Complete the short therapy intake

Confirm your location, answer a few questions, and choose whether therapy notes join your general chart.

4

Keep your check-ins

Medication reviews continue with your prescribing clinician on your usual rhythm. Bring anything therapy surfaces about medication to that appointment.

Therapy is billed separately

Sessions from $149

Therapy sessions are paid one at a time and are not part of the $29.99 ongoing care membership or the $74.99 per-check-in fee. Receipts carry the Registered Social Worker designation and registration number for extended health claims.

Frequently asked questions

No. The membership covers your monthly check-in with your prescribing clinician and adjustments to your treatment plan. Therapy and coaching sessions are paid separately, one at a time, from $149, whether or not you have a membership.

They share your chart. Your therapist reads your existing records, and if you choose at intake to place therapy notes on your general chart, your prescribing clinician can read those too. If you keep notes in the therapy record only, your therapist can still, with your consent, flag something for your clinician to look at.

Therapy sessions are available only to patients who are 18 or older and in Ontario at the time of the session. Once you are 18, you can book from your portal like any adult patient.

Yes. Some patients start therapy or coaching during the wait, and some use it during the first weeks of medication when routines are changing. Your therapist will not comment on the medication itself; those questions go to your prescribing clinician.

Yes, for therapy specifically. Assessment and ongoing ADHD care are available in the provinces Finding Focus serves, but therapy sessions can only be provided while you are physically in Ontario. See therapy outside Ontario for the routes available elsewhere.
